Hend Soliman (Assadakah Cairo) - Egypt’s President Abdul-Fattah al Sisi stressed the need to favor dialogue and diplomatic solutions for the ongoing Russian Ukrainian conflict. Al Sisi made this announcement during a meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov who arrived in Cairo earlier this morning. Al Sisi also emphasized his country’s support for all endeavors meant to speed up reaching a political compromise for the crisis so as to maintain the world security and stability.
In this regard, the Egyptian President confirmed his country’s willingness to support this path through its communications and moves with the world active forces either bilaterally or multilaterally. Sending President Vladimir Putin’s greetings to al Sisi, Lavrov heaped praise on Egypt’s initiative to form a ministerial committee within the framework of the League of Arab States (LAS) to reach a solution for the 5 months-long Russian Ukrainian conflict as well as the visit of the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on the top of a ministerial delegation to Russia. At the bilateral level, al Sisi and Lavrov conferred on loads of issues of shared interests, foremost of which the start of building Egypt’s first nuclear plant in Dabaa and the Russian Industrial Zone (RIZ) in Suez Canal.
Il presidente egiziano Abdul-Fattah al Sisi ha sottolineato la necessità di favorire il dialogo e le soluzioni diplomatiche per il conflitto russo-ucraino in corso. Lo ha annunciato Al Sisi durante un incontro con il ministro degli Esteri russo Sergei Lavrov, arrivato questa mattina al Cairo. Al Sisi ha anche sottolineato il sostegno del suo Paese a tutti gli sforzi volti ad accelerare il raggiungimento di un compromesso politico per la crisi in modo da mantenere la sicurezza e la stabilità mondiale. Al riguardo, il Presidente egiziano ha confermato la volontà del suo Paese di sostenere questo percorso attraverso le sue comunicazioni e i suoi movimenti con le forze attive mondiali sia a livello bilaterale che multilaterale. Inviando i saluti del presidente Vladimir Putin ad al Sisi, Lavrov ha elogiato l'iniziativa dell'Egitto di formare un comitato ministeriale nell'ambito della Lega degli Stati Arabi (LAS) per raggiungere una soluzione per il conflitto russo-ucraino durato 5 mesi, nonché la visita del ministro degli Esteri egiziano Sameh Shoukry a capo di una delegazione ministeriale in Russia. A livello bilaterale, al Sisi e Lavrov si sono confrontati su moltissime questioni di comune interesse, prima fra tutte l'inizio della costruzione della prima centrale nucleare egiziana a Dabaa e la Zona Industriale Russa (RIZ) nei pressi del Canale di Suez.
